Important Travel Information
Reservations: A deposit is required when signing up for a trip. The full amount of a one-day trip is required when you sign up.
You cannot be added to the trip list until you pay the trip fee or deposit. Please make all checks payable to the Swartz Creek Senior Center.
Cancellation: Please call the center if you are unable to keep your reservation. We will make every effort to refund your money. A cancellation fee of $15 will be subtracted from your refund. When signing up for an extended trip make sure to read the refund policy on the brochure.
Medical Form: Medical forms are required for all extended trips. In case of illness or an accident, the tour director will utilize the information to provide you with the most effective and efficient treatment. After the proper arrangements are made for you, the tour will continue. Any expenses incurred are the responsibility of the traveler. The interest of the entire group of travelers must come first. In case of emergency, the person designated on your emergency form will be notified.
Travel Policy: No alcoholic beverages or smoking is allowed on the motor coaches. The coach will stop every two to three hours, as needed to make the trip comfortable. No seats may be reserved in advance. Rotation of seats will be explained on the trip according to the length of the trip. The first three rows of seats are reserved for Travel Committee and handicap travelers. Each traveler is responsible for their carryon bag as well as any personal items in their possession.
Restaurants: When stopping at restaurants please be courteous and patient. The trip coordinator will try to accommodate each traveler’s needs and comfort. If you have a special diet or require extra assistance, please let the office know when signing up for the trip. When a meal is not included, please remember the tip is your responsibility. Check your bill, because sometimes the tip is included when in large groups.
