About Us

The Swartz Creek Area Senior Center is a busy place offering a variety of services and activities, which change with the needs and desires of its participants.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees determines and adopts all matters of policy and such rules and regulations as necessary. An Annual General Membership Meeting is held in the month of June for the purpose of electing Board Members and an annual review of the Constitution and Bylaws.

The Board of Trustees consists of nine (9) persons. Six (6) are elected from and by the General Membership of the Center. Three (3) who need not hold memberships are appointed by the Board to represent the service area. The Board of Trustees consists of a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and (5) trustees.

Senior Center Staff: The Senior Center employs a Director, Assistant Director and
Office Assistants.

The Director, as agent of the Board, is vested with all administrative powers of the Board, not inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution and Bylaws: and performs the duties of the office under the authority of and is accountable to the Board of Trustees.

The Assistant Director and Office Assistants are at the center to assist the Director in the running of the senior center, and to assist the membership and volunteers.
